Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant 1:1

Tuesdays only


Cedars Park Primary School is looking to recruit an appropriately experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our dedicated, supportive and highly effective team.

We are looking for highly motivated team player, with a calm and patient approach who:

  • Is able to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis.
  • Has good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Is able to support the pupil within class, during break times, with intimate care and around the school.
  • Can form positive relationships and undertake the key worker role, liaising with the SENDco, health professionals and parents.
  • Has the ability to deliver personalised activities to improve strength and mobility, under the guidance of the Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Is willing to undertake training and attend meetings as necessary

Cedars Park Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.


Hours of work: 8:30am to 3pm, Tuesdays only, 39 weeks per year.

Rate of Pay: Grade 3 point 4 - £17173 pro rata.


Closing date: 12 noon Monday 28th October 2019

Interview Date: Friday 1st November 2019

  • Permanent & Part time, 38 weeks per year.
  • Positions available from 2– 5 days per week, 1.5 hours per day. (days to be determined at interview).



Start Date: November 2019


We require lunchtime staff to join our friendly team of skilled Midday Supervisors.


The role involves supervising pupils during the lunch break in the dining rooms, on the playgrounds, or in the classrooms in wet weather.


We are looking for applicants who are flexible, calm and well organised. You should work well in a team and be able to use your own initiative when required.

You will be sensitive to the needs of all children.


Applicants will show a commitment to support the ethos of the school and an ability to implement its policies, including Safeguarding, Child Protection, Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety


We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will therefore be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
