TEACHING STAFF

KS1 RAISING STANDARDS LEADER

  • MPR plus TLR2 (£2,873)
  • Required from April 2021.

We are looking for an experienced KS1 teacher to teach a Year 2 class and lead teaching and learning as Raising Standards Leader in KS1. You should:

  • be able to demonstrate a commitment to teaching and learning
  • have high expectations and motivation
  • have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • have good organisational skills and time management
  • have good teamwork, enthusiasm and dedication along with outstanding subject knowledge and practice.

To be successful for the post, you should be able to raise standards and accelerate progress. Furthermore, you should demonstrate the ability to inspire children who are keen and eager to learn.

A TLR allowance is available for phase leadership for the suitably qualified candidate. This post is open to applicants with phase leading experience or those who are ready for the next step in their career. In addition, you will need to hold an undergraduate degree awarded by a UK higher education provider, a recognised equivalent teaching qualification along with QTS.

SUPPORT STAFF

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB LEADER (MAT LEAVE)

  • £23,541 pro rata

  • 17.25 hpw, 39 weeks per year.
  • 2.30pm – 6.15pm Monday - Friday
  • Required from April 2021

We are looking to recruit an After School Club Leader (MAT Leave) for our After School Club.

 You will need:

  • a recognised Level 3 or above childcare qualification
  • a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • a sound understanding of child development and of children’s needs
  • the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative as appropriate
  • the ability to lead and manage staff to deliver high standards and results
  • an interest in creative play for children would be an advantage
  • an ability to communicate and liaise effectively with a wide range of people; both professional and members of the local community.

Duties would include:

  • setting up and clearing away activities for the after school session
  • caring for pupils including engaging in play, providing a snack, pupil welfare
  • liaising with parents
  • help to plan and provide activities for different needs.
