16/07/2010 Summer Fair Success!

Thank you all so much for supporting this year's fair. It was a fantastic day which exceeded all our expectations, raising a record breaking £3142.86.  Two new picnic tables along with 4 game top tables for the main playground, parasols and covers for all the tables have now been ordered as promised.

The children had a fantastic time at Bewilderwood. 

They had a great time playing and building camps in the woods with the Boggles

The allotment is beginning to take shape and the children are taking advantage of the new raised beds. 

Seeds are being planted and we should see the fruits of the children's labours later on in the summer!

We would like to say a big thank you to all of the companies who have supported 'The Big Easter Egg Hunt'. 

Without their involvement this much loved event would not have been able to go ahead.

Congratulations to the sports stacking club.

Holly Francis and Elizabeth Hale came first, and Holly Wade and Jasmine Chittock came second in the pairs competition.  

Well done girls!

The children had great fun during Sri Lanka week, learning about Sri Lanka and its culture.

A warm welcome back after a chilly start!

This week is Sri Lanka week and the children will be learning about life and culture in Sri Lanka. They will also be learning about about the Smile Centre School in Hambantota which has been twinned with Cedars Park.

All the children enjoyed taking part in the sponsored skip for Children in Need. 

We raised a grand total of £1933.37.

Well done to everybody who took part and once again thankyou for your support of this charity

Cedars Park Community Primary School was officially opened on 7th July by Marlon Hunt, World Champion Kick Boxer, and Patricia O'Brien who is the Portfolio Holder for Children and Young People's Services at Suffolk County Council.  The opening ceremony was followed by the PTA Summer Fair with a great variety of stalls.  See pictures on the site.

Our Official School Opening and Summer Fair will be held on Saturday 7th July.  The Opening Cermony will be at 11a.m. and will be attended by Marlon Hunt the World Kick Boxing Champion who was born in Ipswich and Councillor Patricia O'Brian who is the Portfolio Holder for Children and Young People's Services at Suffolk County Council.
